"Experience A Medicine Walk in Rural Nova
          Scotia, Canada. Enjoy
A Nature  Awareness
          Adventure With the Medicinal
          Plants and Trees!"

Meditate in the forest, learn about traditional medicines,
and relax in the atmosphere of an old farm property
that has been in the family for over 100 years.

My home property at Mines Road 2, Hebbs Cross, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, played a large role in shaping my medicine maker journey. It was here that I roamed the forests, fields, lakes and streams, with field manual in hand (along with my brother, Garry), to identify plants and trees. It was a fun period of my life!

I have a great deal of experience in Mi'kmaq plant and tree medicines, and have given medicine walks since 1974. I gained most of my knowledge in the 1970's, from Elders and from other individuals who were versed in the plant and tree medicine knowledge.

I'm offering medicine walks to groups of 2 or more participants (children under 12 years of age, are free). I don't have a maximum group size, as I have given some of my best walks to large groups of people. In fact, I've given walks to groups of 70 or more people, on occasion, at Kejimkujik National Park, in Queens County, Nova Scotia. I enjoy the companionship of large groups of participants.

The fee for a medicine walk is $20.00 per person ($30.00 for a couple).

To arrange a group medicine walk on a date that suits you, or if you have questions, message me on Facebook or by email.

Medicine Walk Schedule for 2019:

Rather than booking your own group medicine walk, perhaps you'd like to join me on one or more of the following dates. The fee is the same - $20.00 per person, per walk. There is no need to book ahead - just show up on time and join the walk (Walks will be cancelled, in the event of rain.).

Medicine Walks: (The walks do not involve the identification of Mushrooms, Lichens, or Ferns. I focus on certain herbs, woody plants and trees.)

I may be listing some walks for November. Stay tuned!

(Walks will be cancelled in the event of rain.)

Plant Medicine Elder Chat Sessions for 2019: Visit, share a coffee, tea, juice or water, and talk about things herbal or plant medicine related. Whatever interests you. I will be available from 1:30 to 4 p.m. As a member of the Canadian Council of Herbal Elders, I decided to have these sessions, because I want my membership to be more than a symbolic award. Note: The sessions do NOT include plant medicine walks. That said, they may or may not include meanderings. :) The dates are as follows (No Fee):

Wednesday, October 23 - Cancelled! I will have to be away for the afternoon.

Wednesday, November 6

More dates may be listed soon.
